follow these loading guidelines. Features and appearance of racks and silverware
Theupperrackisprimarilyfor glasses,cups,and
saucers.However,other itemssuchaspots,pans,
and platesmaybeplacedinthe upperrack.Thisis
alsoa secureplacefor dishwasher-safeplasticitems.
Theupperrackcanbe usedfor oddsizedutensils.
Saucepans,mixingbowls,andothersimilarlyshaped
itemsshouldbeplacedfacedown forbestwash
performance.Ensuresmallplasticitemsaresecure
so thattheycannotfall intothe heaterat the bottom
of the dishwasher,potentiallydamagingthe item.
Onsomemodels,the upperrackmaybeadjusted
to accommodatelargeritems.Toadjustthe upper
rack,fullyextendthe upperrackandremovethe two
plasticendcapsonthe frontof the rails.Removethe
upperrack.Selectthe setof rollersonthe sideof the
rackthat providesthe desiredheight,and reinstall
the upperrackby guidingthe rackrailsbetweenthe
appropriatesetof rollers.Withthe rackreinstalled,
replacethe two plasticendcaps,ensuringthe snap
isproperlyengaged.Failureto properlyengage
the endcapsmayresultinthe rackfallingfrom the
dishwasher.
Toaddflexibilityinloading,the utilityshelfIonsome
models)may beplacedinthe upor downposition.
Theshelfmayalsobeusedto securestemwaresuch
as wineglasses.Becausethesestemwareitems
comeinvarioussizes,slowlypushthe rackinto
ensurethe itemsdo not bumpintothe edgesof the
dishwasher,whichmaycausedamageto the items.
tt isimportantto ensurethat itemsdonot protrude
throughthe bottomof the rackorsilverwarebasket
(onsomemodels)wheretheywillblockthe rotation
of the middlesprayarm.Thiscouldresultinnoise
duringoperationand/or poorwashperformance.
Checkto makesure
that no items will block
rotation of thewash
arms.
