GE Advanced Silicone 2®, Window & Door sealant is 100% waterproof and can be exposed to rain or

water in as little as 30 minutes. It is ideal for weatherprooﬁng and application on a wide range of projects

exposed to harsh weather conditions from the attic to the basement. This high-performance durable

sealant is permanently ﬂexible, shrink-proof, crack-proof, and offers strong adhesion to many common

substrates. GE Advanced Silicone 2, Window & Door has 10-year mold-free product protection, is low in

odor, and will not blemish most metal ﬁnishes. Backed by a lifetime guarantee.

1. Remove dirt, grease, moisture, soap residue &

old caulk from area to be sealed. Use backer rod

for gaps larger than 3/8" x 3/8" (9.5 mm x 9.5

mm). 2. Remove cap & cut nozzle to obtain

desired bead size. 3. PIERCE INNER FOIL SEAL.

4. Using caulk gun, apply sealant into gap.

Sealant beads should not be thicker than 1/2"

(12.7 mm) or thinner than 1/8" (3.2 mm) using a

width-to-depth ratio of 2:1. Sealant should be

tooled within 5 to 10 minutes after application. Do

not use soapy water or oil as a tooling aid. 5. Wipe

hands & tools thoroughly before washing. Clean

tools and uncured sealant residue immediately

with mineral spirits or paint thinner. 6. Allow at

least 24 hours before exposing sealant to water.

ﬁberglass, and painted surfaces, as well as metal

ﬁnishes such as chrome, bronze & nickel.

FREEZE & SUN-PROOF: 100% weatherproof

sealant applies to wet or dry surfaces, is

permanently ﬂexible and will not shrink or

crack when subjected to ultraviolet rays or

freezing temperatures.

comparison with our GE Silicone 1® Window

& Door Clear sealant using ASTM C794 Peel

Adhesion test.

10-YEAR MOLD-FREE SEALANT: Fully cured

sealant is resistant to stain-causing mold and

mildew growth. Regular cleaning of sealant is

required, however, as soap and other residue

may cause secondary mold and mildew growth.

30-MINUTE RAIN-READY: Exposure to water

possible in as little as 30 minutes with bead size

max 3/16", temperature min 65°F and humidity

min 50%. Otherwise, sealant should not be

exposed to water for 8 hours. Do not touch or

clean sealant for 24 hours.

WON'T BLEMISH METALS: While this neutral

curing methoxy silicone will not blemish most

metal ﬁnishes, testing of product on a small

indiscreet area before use is recommended.
