Installation Instructions
6.25 Any terminal less than 2m above any access (level ground,
balcony or at roof with access) must be tted with the guard
supplied, see Diagram 26.

6b. Top Exit - Up & Out
ENSURE THE BLACK DECORATIVE TOP AND COLLAR
ARE FITTED TO THE TOP OF THE APPLIANCE PRIOR
TO INSTALLATION OF A TOP FLUE EXIT.
THIS MUST BE POSITIONED BEFORE INSTALLING THE
FLUE.
A restrictor may be required with top exit ues. See
Technical Specication on page 14 for restrictor sizes.
Wall Plate
6.26 A wall plate is supplied to secure the ue to the inside wall.
Bend the securing tab to 90° and slot the plate over the ue
before bringing the ue through the wall.
6.27 Mark the xing holes using the wall plate as a template
The tab can be above or beneath the ue, see Diagram 28.
Flue Aperture
6.28 Mark the height from the top of the hearth to the centre of
the horizontal section, see Diagram 27.
27
6.29 TAKE CARE TO MARK OUT THE FLUE CORRECTLY. IT
IS DIFFICULT TO MOVE AFTER INSTALLATION.
6.30 Create a 152mm (6”) diameter hole for the ue using either:
a) a core drill, or
b) a hammer and chisel
6.31 Make good at both ends of the hole.
Flue Length
6.32 The nal length of the ue pipe includes the terminal. The
terminal is the only section that can be shortened.
DO NOT SHORTEN ANY OTHER SECTION OF FLUE
PIPE.
6.33 Measure from the outside of the wall to the stop on the
90° elbow.
6.34 Fit horizontal ue section between the elbow and the
terminal at this stage, if required, see Diagram 28.
10mm
Wall plate
28
6.35 Mark the correct length all the way around the ue terminal
section, see Diagram 29.
6.36 Insert the square cardboard sleeve into the ue to support
the inner tube.
6.37 Cut through the ue and sleeve, see Diagram 29.
29
6.38 REMOVE THE CARDBOARD REMNANTS FROM THE
FLUE.
6.39 File the cut edge smooth.
