4. Changing the Appliance Batteries
4.1 The appliance batteries are located on a bracket located
behind the lower plinth, see Diagram 6.
To remove the plinth see Section 3.

4.2 Unclip the battery holder from the connector and remove the
old batteries.
4.3 Correctly position the 4 new AA size batteries into the battery
holder. Re-assemble the battery holder as shown in
Diagram 7.

4.4 Replace the battery holder.
It is essential to use high quality batteries (Duracell or
equivalent) when replacing batteries in the handset or
control box.
PLEASE ENSURE NO WIRES ARE TRAPPED
BEFORE REPLACING THE PLINTH.
THE LEAD IS EASILY DAMAGED.
5. Log Layout
LOGS MUST BE POSITIONED ACCORDING TO THE
FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS TO GIVE THE CORRECT
FLAME EFFECT.
All logs can be identied by a letter (A - D) on their
underside. Logs A and B have holes to locate each onto a
burner stud.
5.1 Ensure the burner tray is clean and free from any debris, see
Diagram 8.

5.2 Place Log A in position on the 2 locating pins,
see Diagram 9.

5.3 Spread the Lava Rock evenly over the fuel bed and around
Log A, see Diagram 10.
