3. Cleaning the Appliance
IMPORTANT: THE OUTER PANELLING OF THE
GAZCO LOFT IS MADE FROM CAST IRON. USE
CAUTION WHEN INSTALLING, REMOVING AND
STORING AS THE COMPONENTS ARE HEAVY AND
SHOULD BE HANDLED CAREFULLY.
3.1 Make sure the re and surrounds are cool before cleaning.
Use:
– A dry cloth to clean the appliance casting.
– A damp cloth for the glass front.
3.2 Remove the plinth to access the controls:
1. Pull the lower section of the plinth forward to release from
the studs.
2. Lift the top section and tilt forward to clear the hooks
and slots on the front of the appliance, see Diagram 2.

The glass door will need to be removed to gain access to the
fuel effect.
3.3 Remove the 4 screws, see Diagram 3.

3.4 Lift the glass door slightly and angle the bottom away from
the appliance. Lower the glass door to disengage the top
hooks from the appliance, see Diagram 4.
NOTE: SUPPORT DOOR WHEN REMOVING.

The glass door must be retted to the appliance following
cleaning or servicing.
3.5 Angle the top of the glass door towards the appliance and
locate the top hooks into the bars of the appliance, see
Diagram 5.

3.6 Push the base of the glass door against the appliance and
lower.
3.7 Secure the base of the glass door with the 4 screws, see
Diagram 3.
3.8 Replace ALL of the securing screws, ensuring that a screw is
present in all xing slots.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE
APPLIANCE BE USED IF ANY OF THE GLASS
FRAME RETAINING SCREWS RE LOOSE OR
MISSING.
