Servicing Instructions - Replacing Parts
8.12 Undo the 2 screws securing the gas valve to the appliance
and remove the valve.
8.13 Replace in reverse order.
8.14 Check all joints for gas leaks and check operation of the
thermocouple and ignition lead.
9. Magnetic Safety Valve
9.1 Turn the gas supply off at the isolation device.
9.2 Remove the gas valve, see Section 8.
9.3 Undo the magnetic valve-retaining nut from the back of the
control valve, see Diagram 20.
9.4 Gently tap out the magnetic valve and replace with a new
unit.
9.5 Replace the retaining nut and tighten.

9.6 Reassemble the interrupter block and leads and secure the
thermocouple connection in the rear of the gas control. (Do
not overtighten).
9.7 Turn the gas supply on and check the entire pipework and
valve joints for any leaks.
10. Control Box
10.1 To replace the control box rst remove the main control
assembly, See Section 7.
10.2 Remove the two thermocurrent cables by removing the two
screws, Diagram 21.
10.3 Remove the ignition lead, Diagram 21.
10.4 Remove the eight wire loom from the control box.
10.5 Remove the battery extension cable, Diagram 21.
The control box can now be replaced.
When replacing the sealing plate on the rear of the control
cover use a suitable silicone sealant.

10.6 After replacing the control box you may need to reprogram
the handset.
— Press and hold the reset button on the control box until
you hear two signals. After the second longer signal:
— Release the reset button and within 20 seconds:
— Press the DOWN button on the handset until you hear two
additional short signals conrming the new code is set.
If there is a single long signal the code learning sequence
has failed or the wiring is incorrect.
