8 Loosen the four captive screws that secure the heat sink

to the system board (the screws cannot be completely

removed), then remove the heat sink and place it on a

stable surface with the flat surface of the heat sink (the

side with the thermal grease) up.

9 Push the processor release lever down and away from

the processor, then lift it completely up.
