Playing audio and video files with 
the Windows Media Player
The Windows Media Player can play several types of audio and video files, 
including WAV, MIDI, MP3, AU, AVI, and MPEG formats. For more information 
about using the Windows Media Player, click/tap 
Help.
To play a file using the Windows Media Player:
1 Click/Tap Start, All Programs, then click/tap Windows Media Player. The 
Windows Media Player opens.
2 Click/Tap File, then click/tap Open. The Open dialog box opens.
Important If the menu bar does not appear, click/tap the show menu 
bar button.
