5 Remove the hard drive.
6 Slide the new drive into the drive bay, then slide the drive
release latch back.
7 If you are adding a drive, connect the drive cables to the
new drive according to the drive’s documentation.
- OR -
If you are replacing a drive, reconnect the drive cables
using the notes you took previously.
8 Replace the side panel by following the instructions in
“Opening and closing the case” on page 37, then return
your computer to an upright position.
9 Reconnect all external cables and the power cord.
