Replacing the optical disc drive
To replace the optical drive:
1 Remove the side panel by following the instructions in
“Opening and closing the case” on page 39.
2 Disconnect the cables from the optical drive.
3 Slide the optical drive lock to the “unlock” position.
4 Slide the optical drive out the front of the computer.
5 Note any jumper settings on the old drive and set the
jumper on the new drive to be the same.
