Dear Customer! The Gastroback Design Citrus Juicer Advanced is designed for squeezing citrus fruits, whose halves are not larger than the juicing cone of the citrus press (oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits small). The juicing cone for scraping the fruit pulp is driven by a powerful electric motor. With the heavy, impact-resistant motor block the citrus juicer has a firm footing, and the patented juicing mechanism makes the process very easy and safe.

Fruit Dome Is easily removed for cleaning (dishwasher safe). Die Cast Stainless Steel Juicing Cone Extracts the maximum juice from all sized citrus fruit (dishwasher safe). 2 Stainless Steel Filters Allow the juice to flow through whilst straining the pulp and seeds.
Important Safeguards Carefully read all instructions before operating and save the instructions for further reference. Do not attempt to use this appliance for any other than the intended use, described in these instructions. Any other use, especially misuse, can cause severe injury or damage by electric shock, fire or moving mechanical parts. These instruction is an essential part of the appliance. When passing on the appliance to a third person, ensure to include these instructions.
• Do not leave any food dry on the surfaces of the appliance. Do not immerse the motor housing or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not pour or drip any liquids on the motor housing or power cord. When liquids are spilled on the motor housing, immediately unplug the appliance and dry the motor housing to avoid risk of electric shock or fire. Do not attempt to operate the appliance, when liquids are on or in the motor housing.
Movable and Sharp-edged Parts – Risk of Injury • Always turn the appliance off, wait for the motor to stop moving and then pull the plug before removing the container/vessel under the juice spout or taking off the juicing cone, filters or the juce collector. It could take about 3 seconds until the motor has completely stopped. Never leave the appliance on when not in use.

4. Place the juicing cone onto the drive shaft and press down lightly to lock the cone into position (Fig. E & F). Important: If the drive shaft or the inside of the juicing cone are encrusted E with food residue, it is possible tah the juicing cone may not be attached correctly. Do not use violence. Instead, first clean these partss (see ›Care and Cleaning‹) and then assemble the appliance again.
2. Cut the unpeeled citrus fruit in half by cutting across the fruit segments, rather than across the tip ends, to ensure more efficient juicing (Fig K & J). Important: Some fruits, such as lemons and tangerines, have knobbly tip K ends which require trimming for better contact with the fruit dome. WARNING: Never touch the juicing cone or the filter with your fingers while the appliance is switched on. 3. Make sure that the on/off button is off. The on/off button is a rocker L switch.
10. After proceccing: Do not leave any food residue to dry on your appliance. Clean the appliance, if you do not use the appliance for a long period of time (several hours, overnight) (see ›Care and cleaning‹). CARE AND CLEANING WARNING: To avoid injury and damage to the appliance: Turn off and unplug the juicer before cleaning. Never touch the rotor or the juicing cone directly with bare handsor other objects when the appliance is plugged into thepower outlet.
15. Take apart the components and empty the stainless steel filter and the juice collector. CAUTION: Never clean the motorbase or power cord in the dishwasher! Never immerse the motorblock, the power cord or power plug in water or other liquids. Never pour water or other liquids on the motorblock or let any liquids run under the appliance. Wipe off spilled liquids immediately. Never use any abrasive cleaners, corrosive chemicals (i.e. disinfectants, bleach) or cleaning pads for cleaning.
Storage You should assemble the appliance for storage (see: ›Assemblimng Your Design Citrus Juicer Advanced‹). In this way the parts are best protected from damage and you can not lose the components so easily. You can store both stainless steel filters over each other before you put the juicing cone, and place the dust cover over it. Never forget, however, remove the second filter element before the next use. CAUTION: Never use the appliance with both stainless steel filters together.
