WHEELSET HIGHLIGHTS
Bontrager Wheelworks wheels are engineered for low main-
tenance in a high performance design. The Race wheels
use butted spokes and alloy nipples for lower weight.
Disc-compatible hubs allow addition of disc brakes without
rebuilding the wheels. Tires have reduced knob size for
low weight, low rolling resistance. High TPI (Threads Per
Inch) makes casing light and strong to resist flats, supple to
increase traction. Folding beads reduce weight.
COMPONENTS HIGHLIGHTS
Shimano XTR and Deore XT shifting is precise, light
weight, and durable. Bontrager cranks, bars, stem, and seat-
post are engineered to be strong, yet light weight.
FRAME AND FORK HIGHLIGHTS
Genesis geometry is defined by long front center plus short
stem for stability and enhanced steering response. ZR9000
Platinum series aluminum means light weight with very
high fatigue strength. 29" wheels roll over bumps with
less effort, making the bike faster. Fork has air spring and
magnesium lowers for low weight. SSV (Speed Sensitive
Damping) for smooth feel, increased control over varying
bump sizes. 30mm stanchions provide stiffness for steering
control. External travel adjust changes ride height, ideal to
set up for climbing vs. descending. External preload and
rebound adjustment for easy tuning.
