Fife e Fife is a small, high-pitched, transverse
ute used in Appalachian folk music. It is a
simple instrument usually consisting of a tube
with six nger holes and diatonic tuning. e
Fife is similar to a piccolo, but can be louder
and shriller due to its narrower bore.
