Bansuri 1 e Bansuri is a large side-blown alto ute of
Northern India and surrounding regions. It
is made of a single length of bamboo with six
or seven nger holes. Bansuris range in length
from about 12 inches up to about 40 inches,
with 20-inch bansuris being the most com-
mon. is instrument is associated with the
god Krishna who was often depicted playing a
Bansuri.
