Bombo e Bombo is an Argentinian drum made of a
hollowed tree trunk covered with animal skin.
e Bombo is played while hanging to the
side of the player and is struck with a mallet or
stick. e Bombo sometimes serves as a bass
instrument and has a deep and dark tone.

Cuica e Cuica is a Brazilian friction drum. e
drum has a bamboo stick running inside the
body of the drum which, when rubbed with
a wet cloth, produces a high-pitched squeaky
sound with variable pitches.
