Shime-daiko e Shime-daiko is a small rope-tensioned drum
with animal skin drumheads on both sides. e
shime-daiko is played with sticks called “bachi.
e Shime-daiko is often used in Japanese folk
music.

Tebyoshi e Tebyoshi is a small ashtray-shaped brass
cymbal that produces a unique metallic sound.
It is held in one hand by a cord and played by
striking or scraping it with a beater. e instru-
ment is also called the Chappa.
