willcontinuetoprocessinthebackground.ConnextDataRequeststypicallytakebetween1to4minutesto
complete depending on the size of the selected weather coverage area, the amounts of weather activity present,
andtheIridiumsignalstrength.
ThesystemretrievesallavailableGarminConnextWeatherproductswithintheselectedcoverageareaduring
aninitialConnextDataRequest,regardlessofwhichproducts(ifany)arecurrentlyenabledfordisplay.On
subsequentrequests,thesystemretainspreviouslyretrievedtextualdata(suchasMETARsandTAFS)ifithas
notexpired,whilenewtextualweatherdatamatchingthecurrentcoverageareaandallgraphicalweatherdata
istransferredtotheaircraftduringeverydatarequest.
Atthecompletionofasuccessfulweatherdatarequest,theREQUESTSTATUSWindowindicates‘OK’ifthe
ConnextDataRequestmenuisstillwithinview.
