NOTE: The system automatically selects a target thrust mode under certain
flight conditions; refer to the Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFMS) for
a detailed discussion of automatic thrust mode transitions.
Selecting Takeoff, Climb, or Cruise Target N1 Thrust Mode
1) Select the TARGT N1 Softkey
2) Select one of the following Softkeys:
TO /GA: Selects the Takeoff/Go Around target N1 thrust mode.
CL B: Selects the Climb target N1 thrust mode.
CR U: Selects the Cruise target N1 thrust mode.
3) To return to the top level of Softkeys without changing the target thrust
mode, select the BACK Softkey.
Manually Entering Target N1 Speed
1) Select the TARGT N1 Softkey.
2) Select the MAN Softkey.
3) Select the following Softkeys to adjust the target N1% readout and bugs.
+1 : Increases the target N1 speed by 1%..
+0 .1: Increases the target N1 speed by 0.1%.
-1 : Decreases the target N1 speed by -1%.
-. 01: Decreases the target N1 speed by -0.1%
4) Select the BACK Softkey to return to the top level of Softkeys.
Removing N1 Target Speed Display
1) Select the TARGT N1 Softkey.
2) Select the OFF Softkey.
