CREATE A NEW USER WAYPOINT
1)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select the ‘WPT’ page group.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select the User WPT Information Page.
3)
Press the NEW Softkey. A waypoint is created at the current aircraft
position.
4)
Enter the desired waypoint name.
5)
Press the ENT Key.
6)
The cursor is now in the ‘REFERENCE WAYPOINTS’ field. If desired, the
waypoint can be defined by a reference waypoint. Use one of the following
methods to enter the reference waypoint:
a)
Turn the small FMS Knob to the left to display a list of flight plan
waypoints. This list is populated only when there is an active flight
plan.
b)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select the desired waypoint.
c)
Press the ENT Key.
Or:
a)
Turn the small FMS Knob to the left. Initially, a flight plan waypoint list
is displayed.
b)
Turn the small FMS Knob to the right to display the ‘NRST’ airports to
the aircraft’s current position.
c)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select the desired waypoint.
d)
Press the ENT Key.
Or:
a)
Turn the small FMS Knob to the left. Initially, a flight plan waypoint list
is displayed.
b)
Turn the small FMS Knob to the right to display the ‘RECENT’
waypoints.
c)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select the desired waypoint.
d)
Press the ENT Key.
7)
After pressing the ENT Key, the cursor is displayed in the ‘RAD’ (radial)
field. Enter the desired radial from the reference waypoint.
8)
Press the ENT Key.
