Magnetic Field Variation Database Update
Atstartup,thesystemcomparesthisversionoftheMVDBwiththatpresentlybeing
usedbyeachAHRS(GRS1andGRS2).IfthesystemdeterminestheMVDBneeds
tobeupdated,apromptisdisplayedontheNavigationMapPage,asshowninthe
followinggure.Note,inthefollowingexample,GRS1istherstAHRStoindicate
anupdateisavailable.Inactuality,thisisdependentonwhichAHRSistherstto
reportstatustothesystem.GRS2maybedisplayedbeforeGRS1.Theorderisnot
important,onlythatbothAHRSbeupdated.

Loading the magnetic field variation database update:
1) With ‘OK’ highlighted, as shown in the previous figure, press the ENT Key
on the MFD. A progress monitor is displayed as shown in the following
figure.
