SYNTHETIC VISION
NOTE: SVS is intended only as an aid to situational awareness. Other
appropriate primary systems must be used for navigation as well as terrain,
obstacle, and traffic avoidance.
Synthetic Vision System (SVS) functionality is offered as an optional enhancement
to the Perspective
™
Integrated Avionics System.
SVS is primarily comprised of a computer-generated forward-looking, attitude
aligned view of the topography immediately in front of the aircraft from the pilot’s
perspective. SVS information is shown on the primary flight display (PFD).
In addition to SVS enhancement to the PFD, the following features have been
added to the PFD:
• Pathways
• Flight Path Marker
• Horizon Heading Marks
• Terrain and Obstacle Alerting
• Three-dimensional Traffic
• Airport Signs
• Runway Display
Displaying SVS Terrain
1)
Press the PFD Softkey.
2)
Press the SYN VIS Softkey.
3)
Press the SYN TERR Softkey.
4)
Press the BACK Softkey to return to the previous page.
Displaying Pathways
1)
Press the PFD Softkey.
2)
Press the SYN VIS Softkey.
3)
If not already enabled, press the SYN TERR Softkey.
4)
Press the PATHWAY Softkey.
5)
