Deleting a Profile
NOTE: The profile that is currently active cannot be deleted. If this is the
desired profile to delete, select another profile, then delete the desired profile.
1)
Use the FMS Knob to select the AUX - System Setup Page.
2)
Press the FMS Knob momentarily to activate the flashing cursor.
3)
Turn the large FMS Knob to highlight ‘DELETE’ in the Pilot Profile Box.
4)
Press the ENT Key.
5)
In the ‘Delete Profile’ window, turn the FMS Knob to select the profile to
delete.
6)
Press the ENT Key.
7)
With ‘DELETE’ highlighted, press the ENT Key.
8)
To cancel the process, use the large FMS Knob to select ‘CANCEL’ and
press the ENT Key.
9)
Press the FMS Knob to deactivate the cursor.
Importing a Profile from an SD Card
Pilot Profiles cannot not be imported if originally created using a previous version
of system software.
1)
Insert an SD card containing the pilot profile(s) into the top card slot on the
MFD.
2)
Turn the FMS Knob to select the AUX - System Setup Page.
3)
Select the IMPORT Softkey.
4)
The system displays the Pilot Profile Importing Window with ‘IMPORT’
highlighted. To change the selected profile to be imported from the SD card
(shown as ‘SELECT FILE’), turn the large FMS Knob to highlight the profile
file name, then turn the small FMS Knob to highlight a profile from the list,
and press the ENT Key.
5)
If desired, the profile name to be used after profile has been imported can
be changed by turning the FMS Knob to highlight the ‘PROFILE NAME’
field, then use the large and small FMS Knobs to enter the name, and press
the ENT Key. Imported profile names cannot begin with a blank space or
be named ‘DEFAULT’, ‘GARMIN DEFAULTS’ or ‘DEFAULT SETTINGS’.
