TAWS Inhibit (TAWS-B Only)
NOTE: If TAWS alerts are inhibited when the Final Approach Fix is the active
waypoint in a GPS SBAS approach, a LOW ALT annunciation may appear on
the PFD next to the altimeter if the current aircraft altitude is at least 164
feet below the prescribed altitude at the Final Approach Fix.
Disable TAWS
While the TAWS-B Page is displayed, select the INHIBIT Softkey.
Or
:
1)
Press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select ‘Inhibit TAWS’.
3)
Press the ENT Key.
Enable TAWS
While the TAWS-B Page is displayed, select the INHIBIT Softkey.
Or
:
1)
While the TAWS-B Page is displayed, press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select ‘Enable TAWS’.
3)
Press the ENT Key.
Displaying Terrain and Obstacles on the Navigation Map
1)
With the Navigation Map displayed, press the MAP Softkey.
2)
Select the TERRAIN Softkey. Terrain and obstacles will now be displayed
on the map.
PROFILE VIEW TERRAIN AND OBSTACLES (OPTIONAL)
The system offers a Profile View of terrain and obstacles relative to the aircraft’s
current flight path and altitude on the Navigation Map Page of the MFD. Profile View
does not provide terrain or obstacle caution or warning annunciations or voice alerts,
nor does it display potential impact points inside the Profile View.
Enabling/Disabling Profile View
While viewing the Navigation Map Page,
select
the PROFILE Softkey.
