AIRSPEED INDICATOR
NOTE: Refer to the Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) for speed criteria and Vspeed values.
The AirspeedIndicatordisplaysairspeedonarollingnumbergaugeusingamovingtape.Thetrue airspeed is
displayedinknotsbelowtheAirspeedIndicator.Thenumericlabelsandmajortickmarksonthemovingtape
aremarkedatintervalsof10knots,whileminortickmarksonthemovingtapeareindicatedatintervalsof5
knots.Speedindicationstartsat20knots,with60knotsofairspeedviewableatanytime.Theactualairspeed
isdisplayedinsidetheblackpointer.Thepointerremainsblackuntilreachingoverspeed(V
MO
), at which point
it turns red.

of the actual airspeed readout changes to yellow. The trend vector is absent if the speed remains constant or
if any data needed to calculate airspeed is not available due to a system failure.
