TAWS-B ALERTS
AlertsareissuedwhenightconditionsmeetparametersthataresetwithinTAWS-Bsoftwarealgorithms.
TAWS-Balerts typically employ a CAUTION or a WARNING alert severity level, or both. When an alert
isissued,visualannunciationsaredisplayed andauralalerts aresimultaneously issued.Table6-13 shows
TAWS-Balerttypeswithcorrespondingannunciationsandauralmessages.
Whenanalertisissued,annunciationsappearonthePFDandMFD.TheTAWS-BAlertAnnunciationis
showntotheupperleftoftheAltimeteronthePFDandbelowtheTerrainLegendontheMFD.IftheTAWS-B
Pageis notdisplayed atthe time,a pop-upalertappearsontheMFD. Toacknowledge theMFD pop-up
alert:
•PresstheCLR Key (returns to the currently viewed page), or
•PresstheENT Key(accessestheTAWS-BPage)
