receiver.ReceivedgraphicalweatherinformationandassociatedtextisdisplayedontheMultiFunctionDisplay
(MFD)andthePrimaryFlightDisplay(PFD)InsetMap.TheGDL69AcanalsoreceiveXMSatelliteRadio
®
entertainmentservices.Both weather dataandentertainment programmingoperate in theS-band frequency
rangetoprovidecontinuousreceptioncapabilitiesatanyaltitudethroughoutNorthAmerica.

ACTIVATING XM SATELLITE SERVICES
BeforeXMSatelliteWeatherandXMSatelliteRadiocanbeused,theservicemustbeactivated.Serviceis
activatedbyprovidingcodedIDsuniquetotheinstalledGDL69/69A.XMSatelliteRadioandXMSatellite
WeatherserviceseachhavecodedIDs.TheDataandAudioRadioIDsmustbeprovidedtoactivatetheweather
serviceandentertainmentsubscriptions,respectively.TheseIDsarelocatedon:
•ThelabelonthebackoftheDataLinkReceiver
•TheXMInformationPageontheMFD
