Knob to enter the published decision
altitude for the selected approach procedure. Press
the
ENT
Key.

Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘Activate?’
and press the
ENT
Key to activate the approach.
Activating the approach initiates a direct-to for
IAF and the G1000 immediately begins navigating
to the IAF. Selecting ‘Load?’ adds the procedure
to the flight plan without immediately using it for
navigation guidance.
Activate An Approach in the Active Flight Plan
1)
With the Navigation Map Page displayed, press the
PROC
Key.
2)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘ACTIVATE
APPROACH’.
3)
Press the
ENT
Key. The approach procedure is now
active and a direct-to is initiated to the IAF.
Activate A Missed Approach in the Active Flight
Plan
1)
Press the PROC Key.
2)
Turn the large FMS Knob to highlight ‘ACTIVATE
MISSED APPROACH’.
3)
Press the ENT Key. A confirmation window is
displayed.
4)
With ‘ACTIVATE’ highlighted, press the ENT Key.
Or:
Press the GA switch.
