commandingaclimb). Adjusting the altimeter barometricsetting createsdiscontinuitiesinVNV vertical
deviation,movingthedescentpath.Forlargeadjustments,itmaytakeseveralminutesfortheaircrafttore-
establishonthedescentpath.IfthechangeismadewhilenearingawaypointwithaVNVTargetAltitude,
theaircraftmaynotre-establishonthedescentpathintimetomeettheverticalconstraint.
