NOTE: When another auxiliary window is turned on, the ADF/DME Tuning Window is replaced on the PFD.

usingtheADFasthesourceforthebearingpointer.
TheG1000systemtunestheADFreceiver(optional) andDMEtransceiver (optional).Tunethe ADFby
enteringthefrequencyintheADFstandbyfrequencyeldoftheADF/DMETuningWindow.(Thesoftkeymay
be labeled ADF/DME, ADF, or DME, depending on installed equipment.)
TunetheUHFDMEfrequencybypairingwithaVHFNAVfrequency.DMEfrequencypairingisautomatic
andonlytheVHFNAVfrequencyisshown.
ThefollowingADF/DMEinformationisdisplayedintheADF/DMETuningWindow:
•Active and standbyADFfrequencies
•ADFreceivermode
•ADFreceivervolume
•DMEtuningmode(DMEtransceiverpairing)
When the ADF/DME Tuning Window is displayed, the selection cursor is placed over the standby ADF
frequency field.
Turning the large
FMS
Knobmovestheselectioncursorthroughthevariouselds(standbyADFfrequency,
ADFreceivermode,ADFradiovolume,andDMEtuningmode).Pressingthe
FMS
Knob activates/deactivates
theselectioncursorintheADF/DMETuningWindow.EntertheADFfrequencyusingtheFMS Knob and the
ENT Key.
