7. Return to the Map Page by pressing the FMS knob or momentarily pressing and holding the CLR
key. Deactivate cursor.
3.9.4.5 Garmin GTS 8XX Traffic System (Configuration Placeholder)

This STC does not approve the installation or configuration of the GTS 8XX traffic system.
3.9.4.6 Stormscope (WX-500) Option Configuration
3.9.4.6.1 Stormscope (WX-500) Option
Follow this procedure to enable the WX-500 (Stormscope) function for the G1000 system
1. While in configuration mode on PFD 1 and loader card inserted into top slot of PFD 1, select the
“System Upload” page using the PFD 1 small FMS knob.
2. Activate cursor and rotate small knob to display drop down menu. Verify “C90-Options” is
highlighted and press ENT on PFD 1.
3. Verify cursor drops down to the file box. Rotate the small FMS knob to view the list of available
C90 options.
4. Use the FMS small knob to select “King Air C90 – WX 500 Option”. Press ENT on PFD 1.
5. Verify the “King Air C90 – WX 500 Installation Option” configuration file is displayed in the
“File” window. Press “LOAD”.
6. Monitor load progress. Verify software load completes without errors as indicated by the
following:
a. Green “PASS” in Configuration column.
b. “Upload Complete………….COMPLETE” in the summary box.
7. Select ENT on PFD 1 to acknowledge upload complete. Deactivate cursor.
