Press the IDENT SoftkeytosendadistinctidentityindicationtoAirTrafcControl(ATC).Theindication
distinguishestheidentingtransponderfromalltheothersontheairtrafccontroller’sscreen.The IDENT
Softkey appears on all levels of transponder softkeys. When the IDENT Softkey is selected, a green IDNT
indicationisdisplayedinthemodeeldoftheTransponderDataBoxforadurationof18seconds.
After the IDENT SoftkeyisselectedwhileinModeorCode Selection,thesystemrevertstothetop-level
softkeys.
