Display of Compensated Altitudes
To differentiate altitude values that have been adjusted for temperature compensation from
uncompensated altitudes and user-entered altitudes, small slant text is used by the G1000 system
(Figure 26) on altitude constraints that have temperature compensation applied.
Temperature-compensated altitudes may be white, cyan, or subdued cyan to indicate reference altitudes,
altitudes used for vertical guidance, and invalid altitudes respectively. Altitudes shown as a flight level
(e.g. FL350) and user-entered altitudes are never temperature compensated by the system.
