3.9.4 Loading Airframe Options
After the default configuration is loaded to the G1000, the technician must check and verify which
equipment or installation options exist on the aircraft. See the options list in 3.8.4.1.
If the C90A/C90GT aircraft being updated requires a different airframe configuration or is equipped with
any additional equipment options, follow this procedure to load them.
NOTE
ChartView and TAWS options are covered in a separate section. See Sections 3.9.6 and
3.9.7 for ChartView and TAWS, respectively.
NOTE
Coordinate configuration loading and activation with Sections 5, 6 and 7 as appropriate
for the actions being performed.
3.9.4.1 Determining Airframe Configuration
Aircraft in the following serial number range that have not been modified by the STCs listed below do not
require additional airframe configuration. Proceed to section 3.9.4.3 for option configuration.
Serial number range –
• 1361, 1363-1366, 1368-1372, 1374-1376, 1378-1383, 1385, 1387-1388, 1390-1393, 1395-1396, 1398-
1402, 1404-1410, 1412-1424,1426-1430, 1432-1497, 1499-1537, 1539, 1540-1726, 1728-1753,1755
STCs -
• SA10341SC Opt. 2- Installation of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135A engines and Hartzell HC-
D4N-3C/D9290(S)(K) or HC-E4N-3N/D8990S(K) propellers.
• SA10364SC - Installation of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135A engines and McCauley
4HFR34C762/94LMA-4 or 4HFR34C768/94LMA-4 propellers.
• SA3593NM - Installation of Hartzell/Raisbeck quiet turbofan propeller.
For C90GT aircraft or aircraft modified by Raisbeck and/or Blackhawk STCs above, refer to Table 5 of
the General Arrangement drawing (listed in Table 1-2) to determine applicable configuration.
Example-
¾ A/C serial number - 1362
¾ A/C modified by - SA3593NM (Raisbeck) STC with AFMS 86-206C
¾ Configuration to be loaded – King Air C90A Configuration 7
Once the correct configuration is determined, load the appropriate C90A/C90GT configuration per
section 3.9.4.1.1 below.
IMPORTANT!
If the aircraft being modified has incorporated any modifications beyond factory
configuration or the STCs listed above that effect engine or airspeed limitation, your
configuration may not be supported at this time. It is the responsibility of the
installer to ensure compatibility with existing modifications.
