7.4.2.4 Oil Temperature Functional Test
Required test equipment:
Test Equipment Make/Requirement Model/Part Nbr
Decade Box 0-1k ohms As appropriate
1. Using a decade box or equivalent, simulate resistance values into No. 1 GEA via left engine
firewall connectors-pins J104-W (HI) and J104-X (LO).
2. Simulate the following resistances, and verify the indication and status:
Test Point (ohms) Indication (DegC) Status Configurations
129 +/- 10 100
red digital*
NOTE: red radial 99
all
(*) steady after 5 seconds
3. Repeat steps 18 and 19 using the No. 2 GEA via right engine firewall connectors-pins J105-W (HI)
and J105-X (LO).
4. If no other tests will be completed in this section, do the following:
a. Disconnect test equipment.
b. Ensure firewall connectors are reconnected.
Verify all engine parameters are displayed valid on the MFD with no Red X’s.

Required test equipment:
Test Equipment Make/Requirement Model/Part Nbr
Signal Generator 0-10Vdc / 0 – 1k Hz As appropriate
1. Using a signal generator, inject a 3 Vrms signal into the No. 1 TACH-GEN Adapter via left engine
firewall connectors-pins J104-J and J104-K.
2. Simulate the following frequencies, and verify the indication and status:
Test Point (Hz) Indication (%) Status Configurations
40.6 +/- .35 58
bottom of green band
green digital
all
71.4 +/- .35 102
red digital*
NOTE: red radial 101.5
all
(*) steady after 5 seconds
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 using the No. 2 TACH-GEN Adapter via right engine firewall connectors-pins
J105-J and J105-K.
4. If no other tests will be completed in this section, do the following:
a. Disconnect test equipment.
b. Ensure firewall connectors are reconnected.
c. Verify all engine parameters are displayed valid on the MFD with no Red X’s.
