TIS ALERTS
WhenthenumberofTAsontheTrafcMapPageincreasesfromonescantothenext,thefollowingoccur:
•Thesystemissuesasingle“Traffic” voice alert.
•A‘TRAFFIC’AnnunciationappearstothetopleftoftheAttitudeIndicatoronthePFD,ashesfor5seconds,
andremainsdisplayeduntilnoTAsaredetectedinthearea.
•ThePFDInsetMapisautomaticallydisplayedwithtrafc.
Toreducethenumberofnuisancealertsduetoproximateaircraft,thesystemgeneratesthe“Traffic” voice
alerts only when the number of TAs increases. For example, when the rst TA is displayed, a voice and
visualannunciationaregenerated.AslongasasingleTAremainsonthedisplay,noadditionalvoicealerts
aregenerated. If asecond TAappears onthe displayorif thenumber ofTAs initiallydecreasesandthen
subsequentlyincreases,anothervoicealertoccurs.
