Deleting a Profile
To delete a profile:
1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the
FMS
knob momentarily, to activate
the flashing cursor.
3. Turn the
large FMS
knob to highlight the
DELETE field in the Pilot Profile box.
4. Press the
ENT
key.
5. Turn the
small or large FMS
knobs to select the
profile you want to delete and press the
ENT
key.
6. Turn the
large FMS
knob to select DELETE and
press the
ENT
key. You also have the option of
canceling the delete request by highlighting
CANCEL and pressing the
ENT
key.
Renaming a Profile
To rename a profile:
1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the
FMS
knob momentarily, to activate
the flashing cursor.
3. Turn the
large FMS
knob to highlight the
RENAME field in the Pilot Profile box. Press
the
ENT
key.
4. Turn the
small or large FMS
knobs to select
the profile you want to rename. Press the
ENT
key.
5. Turn the
small and large FMS
knobs to enter
the new profile name. Press the
ENT
key.
6. Turn the
large FMS
knob to select RENAME and
press the
ENT
key. You also have the option of
canceling the renaming request by highlighting
CANCEL and pressing the
ENT
key.
Date/Time
The Date/Time box provides settings for time format
(local or UTC; 12- or 24-hour) and time offset. The time
offset is used to define current local time. UTC (also called
“GMT” or “Zulu”) date and time are calculated directly
from the GPS satellites signals and cannot be changed. If
you prefer to use local time, simply designate the offset by
adding or subtracting the correct number of hours.
The Date/Time section of the System Setup page dis
-
plays the following data:
The current date
The current time
The current time format (local 12hr, local 24hr,
UTC)
The current time offset
To set the system time format:
1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the
FMS
knob momentarily, to activate
the flashing cursor.
3. Turn the
large FMS
knob to highlight the ‘TIME
FORMAT’ field in the Date/Time box.
4. Turn the
small or large FMS
knob to select the
desired system time format (local 12hr, local
24hr, UTC). Press the
ENT
key.
To set the current time offset:
1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the
FMS
knob momentarily, to activate
the flashing cursor.
3. Turn the
large FMS
knob to highlight the ‘TIME
OFFSET’ field in the Date/Time box.
4. Turn the
small and large FMS
knobs to select
the time offset. Press the
ENT
key.
