1.1 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
This section is designed to provide an overview of the G1000 Integrated Flight Deck as installed in Diamond
DA42 aircraft. The G1000 is an integrated flight deck system that presents flight instrumentation, position,
navigation, communication, and identification information to the pilot using flat-panel color displays. The system
is distributed across the following Line Replaceable Units (LRUs):
