enjoyment. The XM Radio entertainment feature of the Data Link Receiver is explained in this section.
XM SATELLITE RADIO SERVICE
Digital audio entertainment is available through the XM Satellite Radio Service, received by the GDL 69A Data
Link Receiver. XM Radio can be received by subscription throughout the Continental U.S. XM Satellite Radio
offers a variety of radio programming over long distances without having to constantly search for new stations.
Based on signals from satellites, coverage far exceeds land-based transmissions. Visit www.xmradio.com for
more information about XM Radio.
Entertainment audio must be set up with the MFD softkeys.
If problems occur, ensure that the owner/operator of the aircraft has subscribed to XM Radio service, and that
the XM subscription has been activated. If a failure still exists, elementary diagnostic checks of the system are
explained in the appendix section for datalink receiver troubleshooting.
