Before you can navigate or use location‑
based applications, your device must
acquire satellite signals.
When you start an application that requires
GPS signals, the device begins acquiring
satellite signals. Acquiring satellite signals
can take a few minutes.
: If you are having difculty acquiring
satellite signals, go outdoors to an open
area, away from tall buildings and trees.


1. From the Home screen, touch to
view the Where To? pane.
2. Touch the text entry eld.
3. Enter part or all of the location name.
4. Touch a location in the list.


