WHAT IS IT? Gardner® Heavy Duty Foundation Coating is an asphalt based coat-
i
ng that helps seal numerous exterior below grade surfaces and protects from moisture
penetration. This product is ideal for sealing many below grade concrete block & poured
f
oundations, fence and deck posts, retaining walls, and metal surfaces. This coating can
protect and prolong the life of these objects. The coating offers a high penetrating seal
to help resist damage and deterioration due to moisture and insects. Proper application
o
f this product can add lasting protection and preservation to many below grade sur-
f
aces. Product dries to a black color.

... All surfaces must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease,
or any other foreign matter. Cracks and holes in foundation should be repaired with
a

In cold weather, store product in heated room (65°F to 80°F) at least 24 hours prior to

pplication. Mix contents thoroughly before using.

TION.... Product is designed fo

and below grade surfaces. For large areas, use a heavy nap paint roller, and roll prod-
uct on the wall from opposite directions to ensure complete coverage. Apply a second
coat in the opposite direction from the first.

optional recommended step would be to place roofing felt (15#) between the newly coat-
ed surf
ace and backfill material during the backfill process. This will help prevent rocks
from damaging the coating during the backfill process.
FOOTINGS APPLICATION.... Product is designed for exterior use only on dry, above
and below grade surfaces. For wood footings, brush coating across area that will be
below grade
. Two coats are recommended. Coating will penetrate wood quickly, and can
be installed in the ground in approximately 1 hour. Sealed wood footings resist moisture
and insect damage
, and last significantly longer than uncoated w

upright. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may cause lid to loosen and leakage to occur.

cle. Store product in the cargo area of vehicle, and secure over protective cloths to pre-
vent damage due to accidental spills. Do not store at temperatures above 100°F. Do not
