1. Designated use
The Solar Animal Repeller Basic is designed for scaring animals away. The device emits varying
ultrasonic frequencies and flashes. The LED flash light can be switched on in addition to the ultra
-
sound and will only be active in the dark. The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery or
a 5 V USB power supply. Any other use as the mentioned is not permitted! No liabilities will be taken
for damages or claims resulting out of not reading and/or not following the user guide and/or any
form of modification on or in the product. Under these circumstances, no warranty services will be
granted. Liability will not be taken for consequential damages.
Note: the response of each animal to our animal repellent may vary. The development of our devic

es, methods and application tips are based on experience, testing and feed-back from our custom-
ers. Therefore the devices are in most cases successful. The device does not stop the animals from
being in the area. It makes them feel uncomfortable and the animals will search for other areas,
which appear more pleasant and quieter. It may take a few days or weeks until this will happen.
2. Safety guide
• Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do
not belong in the hands of children.
• The device may only be used with the stated volt-
age: 5 V DC
• It must be determined if the device is suitable for
the respective use.
• The device may only be used by children over eight
years and people with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or the lack of knowledge or
experience, if they are supervised or have been in-
structed in the safe use of the device by a person
responsible for their safety and have understood
the dangers resulting out of the use.
• People who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy
may experience epileptic seizures or loss of con-
sciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights.
If the following symptoms occur during operation:
dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching,
loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary
movement or convulsion, the light should be im-
mediately turned off or the person should leave
the area.
• Rechargeable battery should not be used if the
temperature is under 0 °C. They may become dam-
aged and lose their capacity.
• This unit is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. In
connection with a power supply this device is only
suitable for indoor use.
• Never hold the device directly to your ear. Humans
cannot hear frequencies > 16 kHz, but the device
emits at a high sound pressure and then therefore
it might be harmful, if the ear is exposed to them
over a longer period.

Charging: The Gardigo Solar Animal Repeller is powered with an internal rechargeable battery that
is either recharged by the solar panel, or an external USB power supply. A micro USB socket is locat
-
ed at the bottom of the device. We recommend to fully charge the batteries before the first use. It is
not necessary to recharge the batteries through USB unless the device does not have enough direct
sunlight. In that case we recommend recharging it externally once a week.
Use: At the bottom of the device there is a switch with the positions OFF, ULTRASOUND ONLY and
ULTRASOUND + FLASH EFFECT. The LED flash is only activated when twilight sets in.
Wall mount: At the back of the device you will find a hole for wall mounting. Use this hole for
mounting the device on to a nail, screw or a small hook. Hang the device at a height that suits the
animal problem you are treating. Lower for rodent problems, higher for problems with cats, dogs
and game.
Important warning when drilling in walls:
Before drilling, make sure that there are no gas, water or power lines located at the drilling spot.
Installation may only be done by competent persons. Please pay attention to the condition and
material of the wall as the included mounting material is not suitable for all wall types. Please ask
an expert for advice concerning suitable screws and dowels. For improper mounting and resulting
damages the manufacturer assumes no liability.

6. General information
The CE conformity has been proven and the declarations are deposited with us. For safety and
conformity reasons it is not permitted to rebuild or modify the device and/or use it in any other
way than described above. This device has a warranty of two years. As Gardigo has no control of
the correct of appropriate installation and use of the device the warranty can only be applied to a
fully equipped device in prime condition. We assume neither warranty nor liability for damages or
following damages related to this product. This applies especially if it has been modifications or re

pairs have been made by the customer, if the circuitry has been modified or components have been
used other than the original components and/or if the operation of the device has been incorrect,
careless or abusive. If you have any questions or suggestions about this product, please contact
your dealer. Switch the product off if pets are nearby. The device can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

The incorrect disposal of batteries/rechargeable
batteries can be an environmental threat!
Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of all batteries and accumulators, wheth-
er they contain harmful substances or not, at a community collection point or in a shop, free of
charge, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Batteries should be
removed before disposing any old electronic device.
The built-in battery cannot be removed for
disposal by the end user. However, the battery can easily be removed by manufacturer-in-
dependent professional personnel. The symbol of the crossed out waste bin means that the
battery may not be thrown into the household waste. The symbols shown on the batteries have
the following meaning:
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent lead by mass.
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass Cadmium.
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.
Enviromental protection notice!
If possible, remove the batteries and rechargeable batteries from the device before disposal and
dispose of them separately. At the end of its life span this product may not be disposed as nor-
mal household waste but must be disposed of at a collecting place for recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. The icon on the product, in the manual, or on the packing points to this
fact. The materials are recyclable according to their labelling. Through reusing, material recycling,
or other forms of utilisation of old devices you make an important contribution to the protection
of the environment. Please ask the local administration for the responsible waste disposal centre.
