Calibration
Under environmental radiation, fatigue of material for the counter tube is not expected, therefore no
re-calibrationisneeded.Yet,duetotheISOcertication,periodicalcalibrationisrequired.Forthis
purpose, our service offers two options:
Minor Calibration
The device to be tested is handed out to an assembler who tests it for 72 hours, comparing it to a
master. The master is adjusted to a gauged reference source (Cs-137). Data is recorded.
Currently,thiscosts50Euro,beforesalestaxes.NormallytheISOauditorsacceptthisformof
calibration.
Major Calibration
We contact the Director of the Institute for Radiation Protection at the University of Mannheim.
We arrange terms of metering points, wording of the records, fees and appointment dates directly.
