There are a series of buttons along the bottom of the Production Readout.
Some or all of the following buttons are available when you access the screen.
•
HELP. Opens the Datalinks.
•
WORKSHOP. Opens the Design Workshop (see Designing Units, p. 81).
•
REPLACE. Replaces the highlighted project in the queue with a project you select.
•
INSERT. Places new build orders in the queue at the point selected, without
erasing any orders currently in the queue.
•
DELETE. Deletes the selected project from the queue.
•
CANCEL. Closes the Production Readout with no changes.
•
OK. Accepts the current projects and closes the Production Readout.
SWITCHING PRODUCTION
If you decide to halt production on a Secret Project, unit or facility before it
is complete and switch production to something new, you lose some of the
minerals you have accrued towards the original project. The sole exception is
switching from one Secret Project to another Secret Project, which does not
forfeit any minerals.
You will need to switch production if a Secret Project you have been working
on is completed by another faction first. If you stop a Secret Project, you can
roll all of your investment into another Secret Project.
HOW MUCH DO YOU LOSE?
If you make any other kind of switch, you lose 50% of your investment after
the first 10 minerals. This applies if you roll your investment from a Secret
Project into anything but another Secret Project, or if you transfer your invest-
ment in a unit or facility to any other unit or facility.
The first 10 minerals that you invest transfer with no loss. All investment over
10 minerals is cut in half. For example, if you have invested 8 minerals, all 8
