RESOURCE MFD

The screen at the upper center of

your Base Control Screen is a multi-

function display (MFD): it can be set

to display several different readouts,

but the one we’re interested in at the

moment is the Resource MFD. This is

a map showing the territory controlled by the base and what resources each

square is producing. (Squares outlined in white are under the control of a

neighboring base.)

NUTRIENT TANKS

This graph shows how your base is growing. When your nutri-

ent tanks fill up (all the squares are bright), the population of

the base increases by one citizen and the nutrient tanks empty.

Conversely, if your base isn’t producing enough nutrients to

support all its citizens, nutrients are drawn from the tanks. If the tanks empty

and you still have a nutrient shortfall, you lose a citizen to starvation.

POPULATION

This readout shows

every citizen in the

base. If the number of red Drones is equal to or greater than the number of

green Talents, watch out—that base is in danger of a Drone riot. (See Drone

Riots, p. 63.)

BASE FACILITIES

This is simply a list of every facility and Secret Project current-

ly built in the base.
