leave this option on, as your production readout has a finite number of slots
for units, and these can fill up very rapidly with obsolete units.
• Mouse at Edge Scrolls View. Moving your mouse to the edge of the screen
(not the edge of the map) causes the map to scroll in that direction.
• Autosave Each Turn. The game creates a new autosave file at the end of
each turn. These files are kept in the
AUTO subdirectory of your SAVES direc-
tory. To load an autosave, L on
AUTO
when the load window opens and
select the turn you wish to return to. Autosaves are kept for turns 1-10, 20
and 30 prior to the current turn.
• Pause at End of Turn. When your turn is completed, the game pauses until
you L on the
TURN COMPLETE button.
• Move Enemy/Neutral Pieces Quickly. Visible units from enemy or neutral
factions move quickly, without full animation.
• Move Allied Pieces Quickly. Visible units from allied factions move quick-
ly, without full animation.
WARNING PREFERENCES
This menu is a list of actions or events that can occur at your bases. You may
select whether you wish the game to stop when one of these actions or events
occurs. If you choose to be warned about a given situation, you are shown a
window asking if you wish to zoom to the base where the situation occurred,
or ignore it and proceed with your turn. Even if you have these pop-up warn-
ings off, you still get an automated message about the event in your message
window (see Data MFD, p. 26).
