1
Rocky terrain negates all nutrient production from raininess.
2
In order to harvest energy based on a square’s elevation, the square must have a solar collector. Squares
with solar collectors yield 1 energy for each thousand meters above sea level, starting at 1 for squares 0
to 1,000 meters above sea level, up to 4 for squares over 3,000 meters above sea level.
3
Harvesting a forest square (i.e., building any enhancement other than a road in that square) yields a one-
time bonus of 5 minerals. Tree Farm and Hybrid Forest facilities each increase nutrient production in for-
est squares within that base’s production radius.
4
Your ability to extract resources from fungus improves as you acquire new technologies. See Fungus, p. XX.
5
Also raises the raininess by one increment in a two-square radius.
6
Also provides +1 energy to every adjacent square with a solar collector.
7
A mine will not reduce nutrient production to zero.
8
+1 in rolling terrain, +2 in rocky terrain, +3 in rocky with road.
9
Roads provide +1 minerals in rocky squares with a mine (total bonus from road and mine: +3). Roads do
not provide a bonus to mines in rolling terrain.
10
Bonus is +1 until the discovery of Advanced Ecological Engineering, +2 thereafter.
11
Recycling tanks only affect the central base square.
