Installing Interstate ’76 9
Normal — Installs the software version only.
3D Accelerated — Installs the hardware accelerated version. Requires a 3D accelerator video
card; 3Dfx or Rendition recommended.
During the installation process, the setup program will install the Microsoft DirectX 5 drivers if you
do not already have them. When DirectX 5 installation is complete, you will need to restart your
computer for the new drivers to take effect. For more information on DirectX 5, see page 12 of this
manual.
Now you can run Interstate ‘76 by choosing Programs/Interstate ‘76/Interstate ‘76 from the Start
menu. Make sure you have Disc 2 (Play CD) inserted in your CD-ROM drive. This is required to play
Interstate ’76.
