Coatings do not delay
construction and are a great choice for
projects that require multitasking and quick
turnaround. In fact, a five-man crew completed
the job in three days. The use of StreetBond
®
Coatings also enabled National Pavement to
use the existing 12-year-old asphalt.
Rejuvenating the asphalt with StreetBond

SB150 Pavement Coating instead of
completely repaving did not impede
construction on the interior in any way. The

equipment were driving and parking directly
on the newly coated asphalt.
Continental Avenue Bridge, Dallas, TX
Contractor: Crossroads Decorative Pavement — crossroadsdecopave.com
Owner: City of Dallas
Job Size: 80,000 square feet Completion Date: May 2014
The Continental Avenue Bridge was
an old 1930s bridge converted to an
outdoor pedestrian and cyclist space.
The repurposed 1,900-foot-long bridge
space is close to downtown Dallas and
offers an up-close view of the Trinity River,
Dallas Floodway, and the Margaret
Hunt Hill Bridge.
The 80,000-square-foot walkway
was broken into more than a dozen
different designs, each section having
its own color scheme and pattern.
The team at Crossroads Decorative
Pavement strategically tackled each
section, making sure the designer’s
vision was brought to life and the
project stayed on track. The color
stability and inherent non-skid properties
of StreetBond
®
SB150 Pavement Coating
helped transform this forgotten bridge into
a vibrant community space.
