VERSASHIELD ® FIRE-RESISTANTROOF DECK PROTECTION APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Prepare deck properly… The deck must be clean, dry, and smooth. Step 2: Install leak barrier… Where a waterproof underlayment is needed, install Weather Watch®, StormGuard, ® or other GAF Leak Barrier following the Leak Barrier application instructions.
c) Overlap 4" (102 mm) at end lap (vertical lap)… and offset from adjacent end laps by 6' (1.83 m). d) Fasten... see Step 4. Specialty Roof System Installations: Under GAF TruSlate® roofing… at least one ply of VersaShield® Fire-Resistant Roof Deck Protection must be used over Deck-Armor™ Roof Deck Protection or a GAF Leak Barrier everywhere on the roof to maintain the Class A fire rating.
