This unit has been tested for RF exposure compliance at a qualied test laboratory. It
was found to comply with the regulations regarding exposure to RF Energy under the
recommendations of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection
(ICNIRP).
SAR (Specic Absorption Rate) is measured using the device’s highest transmitting power.
Because the device automatically lowers its power output to the minimum required to
connect with the network, the actual SAR while it is operating is typically lower than the
quoted gure.
The SAR limit for mobile devices set by FCC/IC is 4.0 W/kg, averaged over 10 grams of
tissue for the extremities — hands, wrists, ankles, and feet.
The highest reported SAR value of the OM247-SOLO tag is 3.571 W/kg, averaged over
10g.
The maximum 10g volume averaged SAR level measured for all the tests performed did
not exceed the 2.0 W/kg level dened for limiting the exposure of the general population
to time-varying electric and magnetic elds by ICNIRP (1998), which is the relevant
standard for testing according to the CENELEC EN 62209-1: 2006 test method.
